Because this breaks
an important role of school
by eliminating interactive
links between the teacher
and the students.
Teachers teach all sorts of lessons.
What of the life
and negotiating skills
needed to become
a valued member of society?
What about the lessons
taught by peers?
In PE, in addition
to learning about sports,
one also learns about teamwork,
body image, and locker room etiquette.
Classrooms provide
a microcosm of our society
where children must negotiate
the values learned at home
with values required to work
with people who have different values.
Without this, education is incomplete.
